"Origami" device released, But is it worth it?

Microsoft's Project Origami finally released its product: a computer, sans keyboard, but with a 7-inch touch screen and stylus. It's billed at "ultracompact": only a bit larger than a PDA, and as powerful as a laptop. It runs XP and will eventually run Vista.

The device carries a price tag of $600 to $1000. Is that worth it for a device that isn't quite a laptop, but isn't quite as small as a PDA either?

actually i really want one now.

but i saw my first article on it and it said that it might go down to 500 in a year. so hopefully it does then i will def get it.

they had a different version they showed on tv though it looked much better. it was much smoother.
