iPod Problems. Help!, nothing will appear... Options

my iPod still works, but nothing is appearing on the screen! it just white background. i know the battery is charged and i've reseted it a couple of times. it still works and iTunes pops up when i plug it in to my computer. the sreen just appears to be white. i can't seem to figure out whats wrong any ideas?

It's under settings. Try angling the iPod to see if you can see the screen at all. If you can, navigate to Settings > Contrast, then turn the contrast up. If you can't see anything at all, I'd try restoring the iPod. Plug it into your computer and run the iPod Software Updater app. Hit "Restore" instead of "Update". Everything on your iPod will be erased and will revert to factory settings; all music, photos, videos, and files will need to be copied back onto it from your computer.

i tried the contrast thing, but it isnt that. I was trying to fix it one day, and i pressed the play button, and it played music. everything works fine, but i just cant see anything on the screen. just a white background. is there anyway i can fix this WITHOUT restoring my ipod? i dont want to restore it because i didnt save all my music files. i deleted them after i put them on my ipod because they were causing my computer to slow down. & i dont want to start over again because i have maybe over 300 songs.
