It's abuse when a parent isn't punishing a child justly, rather taking out anger on them. And belts are a little extreme, it gives the parents the luxury of not actually hitting their kid with their own hand. But kids do need a little physical pain every now and then to snap them back into reality, or else they grow up into a brat. Just a little punishment though. |
