Aerobics and step classes with stairs do NOT help. They make your muscles bigger, and make you beefier. Figure skating will also make your leg muscles bigger.
So don't try THOSE. |

I'm sorry sweet pea but you are mistaken. aerobics burns fat. Doesnt build a lot of musicle. Aerobics actually helps you gain lean muscule mass as well. ahem. Okay, to reduce bulk, you want to create long lean muscile lines. Lean musicle burns more fat and makes you look more slender. Get the term lean. One of the greatest ways to develop lean muscle mass is to do a lot of stretching. Everyday just reach and bend a move for about 20 minutes. Never push yourself beyond your limits, but stretching enlongates and strengthens. It will also increase flexibility and blood flow. Take it from me, I'm a fitness freak, I'm obsessed with myimage because I want tobe a singer, so I spend a lot of time learning ways to get and stay trim. Stretching is also great to do first thing in the morning and in the evening after a long day. Its very relaxing and if you do it right you will even break a sweat. Don't do spot workouts like calf lifts and things because you are just going to build bulk. Also, try some yoga or pilates. I don't do them personally because I'm not that flexible yet, but its all based on developing lean muscle mass. Also you can look on line for yoga or stretching techniques. Theres a site call webguru.com that has a lot of resources for different exercise techniques. Oh and running builds bigger muscles too, so if you are trying to tone them down, doing a lot of running isnt a good idea. Or be sure you spend a lot of time stretching before and after you run. And I mean a lot. Yeah thats all. |
