i was just wondering if anyone around CB here has been in experienced songwriting or is used too Songwriting over the years ? as for me i`ve just recently started with 3 songs in my mind half of each song re written part not sure where or wether it should be written out . now the big question is do you establish and start with the words/hooks/phrasing (the writing part) and then create music notes melody based on the words or do you create the words based on the music notes melody and chords? which is a better way or is it different for everyone ? i usually start gaining ideas from my music first rather then gaining music from my words .

Not exactly a songwriter but i do from time to time make up my own songs, and i do write raps a lot.
I usually startwith words and link notes to it as i go along and then revise it until it sounds the best to my ears. |
