windows media plaer, error Options

everytime i try to play something that uses windows media player on a website, like when someone puts a video on their myspace in the windows player i get theis error:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is on another computer, verify that you are connected to the network. If you typed a path, verify that it is correct. If the problem persists, the server might not be available.

i was wondering if there was any way to fix this? thanks in advance

Or maybe you can try updating your windows media version.
