i have this english project , that involves comparing your family to an object, like a metaphor.

an example the teacher gave us was..
your family to a car..
who's the "engine"?
who's the "steering wheel"?
and so on...

can anyone think of others? any suggestions will be greatly appreciated . thanks!! happy.gif

[My] Family is like an alarm clock.

You have the mother who is the seconds hand, keeping things moving along.
The father who is the alarm and can go off at any given moment.
The sister who is the minute hand and never seems to come around enough.
And the brother who is the hour hand and is just a little bit slower than the rest.

Don't know if that one would be of any use because it might not resemble your actual family, but it sure is like mine.
