Mmkay. So I have this guy I've liked since elementary school, but I haven't really done anything about it because he's always liked other girls. I've never had the chance to do anything and even if I did, it'd be really complicated if we did have something more because he liked one of my best friends (she didn't like him back) and he considers me his little sister? But my friends tell me to go for it, they always say "Oh, he likes you!" But er yeah...If I do ask it'd make things really awkward between us. What to do?

but anyway, go talk to him and try to get some alone time where it's peaceful. tell him something like, "we've known each other since like the beginning of time and have been friends since like forever. but there's something i want to tell you. i don't want to make our [positive adjective - for some reason i've run out of them ] friendship awkward but i like you. before you say anything, if you don't like me back it's okay, i can deal with it and get over it. but whatever your response is, i'd love to continue staying close friends."
