He closed his eyes and he wished
imagining them together
as if miles were nothing but a word
a total eclipse of the brain
his heart lead the way

A wisper came to his ear
she said she loved him
he dared not open his eyes, as to end this ..." dream?"
but he didn't have to
he could see her clear as day, right there in front of him

He could almost feel her
smell her perfume
so he reached out
she was close enough to touch, but teasing
their lips met in a clash - a silent explosion

and then, he opened his eyes.
to his room
to a place years from now, and worlds away
wondering
No, knowing
what it could have been like.
