Tommorow's Ash Wednesday, which marks the start of Lent. One full meal only tommorow, as well as no meat.
I think I'm going to give up computer games and TV. I feel kinda bad because I probably could do better by giving up videogames, but I doubt I'd be able to avoid playing videogames. Giving up meat is also going to be tough as well. Anyone have good suggestions, or is anyone stuck and needs help on what to give up? |

Well i know for sure I'm going to Church tomorrow. I'm skipping first period for it. But I have no idea what to give up

Maybe things that lead you to temptation? Maybe you can promise to pray more often, or volunteer more time helping others? Also, a question for Catholics that don't plan on going to Church/adhering to fast and abstinence. Why not? Think about what Lent is. It's preparation for Easter. Jesus died on a cross for our sins. All that is being asked of us is to give up some food and things we enjoy. |
