My IT teacher told us today that the school has decided to giv econsideration to WRITING HOME TO PARENTS about the contents of people's blogs.
wtf? my friend kate and i were about to have afull blown argument with the teacher about it, were it not for rae sitting behind us chanting 'calm'. apparently it is part of their crackdown on bullying. and, because some of the younger students were READING THE BLOGS OF THE OLDER STUDENTS and 'getting ideas' there is a 13 year old prostitute at my school. i think its a bit late to worry about f**king bad influences from older years. *roar of rage* oh. i suppose you can discuss this, to give it some direction. i just wanted the rant |

This is a little bit different but oh well.
In my school last year, a girl started a xanga where everyday she would write mean things about a different person at our school. The xanga also included a "Cool People List" in a left module. It was really cruel and a lot of people got hurt from it. One of the girl's parents found out and called the school. It took a LONG time to track down who made the site but she got in trouble from the school because of it. It's hard to tell where the line is between what is the school's buisiness and what isn't, but I'm glad the school stepped in because otherwise it would have continued. So I guess it all depends. |
