Will there ever bean official graphic designer ... or something like that? Not like I want to be one, but some people are starting to heavily contribute to that section now.
The requirements could be something broad based - like 10 avatars, 1 background, 5 banners, 2 photos, and 5 wallpapers... maybe 1 smiley set. That way the person who fulfills the requirements has talent in all aspects of design. The requirements could be steeper - considering it is fairly easy to submit graphics. |

"More easier"? Ch. For graphic designer, I do agree with drilotedahl. Avatars, backgrounds and photos aren't that hard to produce in quantity. I would lower the wallpaper, smilies and banners simply because those require more time.
And no, it wouldn't be easier to become an official designer because, well, you can spend up to 2 hours on just the coding aspect nevermind the images that go with it. The requires a bit of brains about you, instead of just artistic talent. That's not meant to insult anyone, but you think more when you're coding than when you're designing. Especially when you've been staring at your screen for 5 hours and you're going over your code line by line because you can't find exactly what's wrong. |
