Brake up... to make up? lol, i want to see who else... Options

hi peps.
ok so almost a month ago the guy who i most loved decided we should brake up. Our relationship wasn't bad at all. I had been w/ him for a year and four months. They said we were like the "perfect couple" (i'm not exaggerating, but it's just a hint how close we were.)
I had been in love before(once), but this one hurted like if it was the first time.
Ok, so his reasons were that we had to concentrate in school & work... since he works, and just started school, and i go to school and just started to work. I don't like the word of "a time out" but does it sound like it? He told me he never goes back once he dumps someone, but I will be the only one he will go with so we stayed as friends... it sucks.
I want to meet people who are or been thought the same as me. I want to know how they felt, what happened or is happening... or i just want to know what anyone thinks...
i keep in mind if this love was true, he will come back to me. But sometimes I just can't help it and yea you know start having all types of ideas

well sometime's you think you're in love, but you're really not. just because others see you two as "the perfect couple" or whatever, doesn't really mean it's all perfect.. or perhaps it was perfect, and for him maybe it was a little TOO perfect...get my drift? i don't know...i mean i've never been in that situation...lols and i never really got the idea of "breaks" in a relationship anyways...i mean...what's the point in calling it a break? does that mean you guys are just not spending time with eachother but you're still together? and if you guys are broken up then just say that you're not together anymore...ughhs....i don't understand breaks....i think it's stupid and if some guy wanted to take a "break" from me then i would tell him straight up that i don't need the nonsense of a break and if he wants to end it then just end it. that's that. soo yeah...if i were you i wouldn't even sweat him...i would just try to get over him because if he was in love with you he would put an effort into the relationship instead of wanting a break..that's just..my opinion...
