Okay, Im hoping (really I am) That this is a major code error and you didn't plan this site to look like this. I say that because, from what I see, a website to wide for even 1690x1500, which is a rather large resolution. For reference, this is what I (and from what I can tell others) see.

Okay, so lets go on the theory that the large image on the left SHOULD be behind your content.
Now, the first thing I dislike about the layout is the content, why the scroll bars? They are horribly annoying within a page, and since this page has nothing obstructing the content from expanding vertically to fit its text, why not? Why make the viewer scroll two scroll bars?
The next thing is your background image, its very busy. And, as see, if it repeats it looks really sloppy. You should want your site to present its content in a way that makes its content the focal point.
So, next is the design itself, I don't like it, its thrown together, custom shapes and a brush or two. You should work on your code, the work on developing a design.
Well then, here is the image with some badly drawn arrows.
(((Blue arrows denote things that should be expanded vertically. Red is stuff that I think should be removed, and green denotes that you need to move the background to the left.)))

Keep Trying, with a little work, you might get something.
