I am a 16 year old high school junior. My new boyfriend is a 26 year old college senior. Do you see why they are somewhat upset?
Well anyway the point of this topic is to see how many of you have had boyfriends or girlfriends or both that your parents dont approve? |

 but...you should let your parents get to know this guy so they can see how nice he is and then they'll trust him more. And if he isn't nice...than well you shouldn't be dating him  you just have to make sure he's not going to do anything to you...older men and teenage women can have bad consequences  As for my dating life, it's non existent. But that has nothing to do with my family. If I had a boyfriend first off I probably wouldn't tell them, but if I did they'd be fine with it. Ofcourse that's assuming I wasn't at kissing level with the guy (or at least i didn't tell them I was). My mom's version of a boyfriend is just "a really good guy friend that you hang out with alot and have alot of fun with", not a romantic relationship. My dad's the first guy she kissed, which is pretty sweet now I think of it  ...but if I was hooking up with a 26 year old? ya, she might have a teensy weensy bit bigger problem with that
