recently my sister and i bought some hot rollers to curl my hair... and we sorta don't know how to use them. actually we tired it but when i took out all the rollers my hair was all puffy and it didn't look right. so i have some questions that i need help on

.when do u spray hairspray? right after u put on the rollers or when u take the rollers out?
.are u suppose to roll it in or out?
.are the rollers suppose to be rolled on tight?
.does combing my hair after curling my hair effect my curls?

in addition to those question can some actually give me step by step on how ur curl your hair to get relaly nice pretty curls?

thanks in advance

i only ever used a curling iron but i've helped a friend with rollers before.

1) when do u spray hairspray? right after u put on the rollers or when u take the rollers out?

your hair should be slightly damp when you put the rollers in because it's easier for the curls to hold shape. a reason for the puffiness maybe because your hair is too dry when you curl it. you should have some sort of substance to act like a barrier between the roller and your hair. i use hair gel cause that's what i have but there are special sprays/gels that's for hot irons. hairspray usually makes hair stiff so it can create a crinkly feel. you shouldn't put it in immediately. put the rollers in and then, when it's almost done, give a spritz of hairspray around your head. let the rollers stay in for a bit longer then take them out and put in more hairspray.

2) are u suppose to roll it in or out?

depends on the look you want. if you roll it in or under, you get the standard curls. if you roll it out? or over, you get sort of a flip to your hair.

3) are the rollers suppose to be rolled on tight?

again, depends on the look your want. the tighter you roll it, the tighter the curls will be.

4) does combing my hair after curling my hair effect my curls?

combing curls tends to make them frizzy. i suggest you don't. if there's a kink or problem, just lightly pulll your fingers through it.
