A friend of mine and I both like these guys and we don't think they like us so we are thinking about asking them to sadies as friends. What do you think they will expect? Because it's not supposed to be a date, but we aren't supposed to just hang out are we? Like, do people dance together on a not a date kind of date? Is asking someone to a dance as a friend even common?
Thanks. |

I agree with death.by.knife, if you ask them as friends, they will rule you out of the dateable-material category.
What I'd do is ask them to the dance, not as friends, but when you ask them, try to have you and your friend ask at the same time, and try to find a time when both of the guys are together. That way, it isn't so intimate and they will be more likely to say yes; and, at the same time, they won't think of you as just a friend, either. |
