On Yahoo! today they were advertising Pinks new video for her song "stupid girls" and I wanted to see who had seen and it what y'all thought about it. ANYWAY~~ I think its hilarious. but it says some things too. Its making un of all your Lindsay Lohans, Jessica Simpsons and Paris Hiltons. and It really says a lot about being a female in this society, while still poking fun of what we see in the media. I think its great. Discuss. And someone tell me if I can link to it, because I will if I'm allowed to. |

I don't understand why we focus so much on all the girls who do choose the path of being like, for example, Lindsey Lohan or Jessica Simpson. Sure, there are girls like that, but let's put some focus on other girls, like Mia Hamm or Hilary Clinton, so girls can see what their role models should be.
I love the part when she says "I must be skinny!" It's horrible that so many girls do that to themselves, but I can't help but laugh at this. Hopefully this video makes girls realize how incredible insane they are for making themselves throw up for the sake of being skinny. Some girls...just love yourself for who you are. |
