Wet Cellphone Options

I left my phone in my pocket when I washed it. I got it back out, and the inside of the LCD was all wet.

I took it apart, and dried most of it.
But the LCD won't dry yet.

I've looked up online and found a couple of things out.
1, the sticker on the back of the phone is supposedly to turn red when in contact with water.

THey won't replace it.

I should bake it in the oven at 150 degrees and stuff to get hte water in the lcd out.

I'm not sure, what do you guys think I should do?

i dropped mine in the toilet. -_-;; but i got it out right away and it messed up my battery so it would only stay charged for maybe an hour at the most. t mobile replaced mine though because i had that 6 month deal where if anything happens for the first 6 months, they replace it; no questions, no payment.


im sure you can just get another phone, right? or ask your phone provider why they wont replace it.

^ WTH... where'd you get that deal from?

It sucks because my phone is an import phone, so any water damage would not be covered anyway. Although, T-Mobile as well as Asurion (insurance) won't cover the phone not only because it's an import phone, but also water damage is one's own fault.

Funny story... Sometime last year, my sister dropped her Samsung SGH-D415 in the shower while she was picking up a call (I know, stupid... ) and we call insurance. amazingly they sent us a new phone-- Samsung E635! Wewt ;x Better than D415!
