okay.
i've been friends with this guy that lives about 25 minutes away for about a year. i invited him to a formal [dance] we had a school two weekends ago [not as a date, just so he could come hang out]. well. he ended up liking one opf my best friends. and she likes him too. so. they're dating [going out. they're boyfriend & girlfriend. whatever you wanna call it.] and they told me last because they said i'd get mad. wtf? i found out last night and they've been dating since friday night. i don't know if i should be sad.. upset.. or what? because i feel very upset. |

Oh yeah, you can feel upset, but what good is that going to do you? I'd just shrug it off. They were only trying to spare your feelings. Clearly they did a bad job of that, but they're your friends, and there's no sense in losing them over anything. Maybe you could tell them that they should be more trusting of you and your feelings in the future, but I wouldn't get too mad—the fact that they were trying not to upset you shows that they care about you a lot.
