Do you guys support dress codes? To be honest, in schools, if there were dress codes, I'd be kinda against it. Even with private prep schools etc. Why can't people dress how they want? For professional organizations like the NBA or NFL, I would accept the fact that dress codes should be a law..because it's a BUSINESS. School? I don't think so. I heard teachers won't even let kids wear shorts during the summertime in private schools. That is too strict. DISCUSS.

well, I personally think that our dress code makes some sort of sense. For us, we aren't allowed to wear shirts with sex innuendos, hints towards drugs and alcohol, and shirts with swearwords on them. For example, a shirt from french connection, with the brand "FCUK" is deemed unacceptable.
Also, technically, guys are not allowed to sag their jeans, but they do anyways. Girls are not allowed to wear spaghettistraps, halter tops, or tube tops with out a jacket covering. And, now, they say that skirts and shorts cannot be too short - although this would be very subjective towards each teacher. So, I feel that our dress code, is rather fair - where it does allow you to dress the way you want, with slight restrictions. |
