As far as I know, Createblog’s membership was meant to increase population of activeness to this community. Are we receiving eligible and appropriate loyal members in the following past months, I don’t think so? How many official members are there with less than 5ppd? Are the moderators doing their job effectively to catch them? Who knows? Let’s make things easier for everyone to detected membership. It’s time to pull everything together and enforce official members/designers Why? It’s way too easy to fool the moderators about the membership. When members became accepted as official members or official designers, they can secretly removed the Createblog blogring, take out the buttons, and become less active but still have the membership benefits. Can we call them loyal? Are they helping us to receive more createblog members? Do the moderators even know about it? Maybe? Guess what, I spotted official members who did not have 5ppds or a buttons label on their site. What can we do about it? I suggest all official members and designers should have their names be organized as list with their website links in a thread, of course. When members are like us are bored, we can just view their website to check on them. If we discover something against the membership, we personal message the moderators to demote them, right? Also, it can give official designers an inspiration by viewing websites.

the thing is, how many people actually benefit from the status or is it just another title?
now-a-days, it just shows that you are active and one step above regular members. not a lot of people are using the things that come with it. i know i dont use the uploader, nor do i think the xanga tracker is allowed anymore. |

Not too many people actually benefit from the status. ![]() QUOTE I've been using the xanga tool a lot actually. Something I would not be able to use if I wasn't an official member. (as an example). That being said, I post regularly, joined both Xanga and My Space blogrings and have a static link on both sites. It's not difficult to manage. Personally, I'm not going to tattle everytime I see an official member with less than 5ppd or cruise blogs just to see if the links are still up. If those who are Official Members do not have the pride or integrity to legitimately keep the promise they made when applying for Official Member status, then poo poo on them. I just don't think we need to start an Official Member/Designer Secret Service. Of course it’s not difficult to manage a static link and a blogring link but do people even care about these buttons? It is so small and useless to them. These buttons doesn’t mean much to xangans, why not remove them? It’s not like someone is going to report on them or catch them for violating the rules of createBlog membership. Guess what, I had my Xanga site without the static buttons or show any relation with createBlog for about a couple months. I never got caught, plus I changed my Xanga username too. Does the moderator ever found out? Obviously, I wasn’t caught for violating the rules even though it was an accident not to have them. ------ to everyone: the thing is ... offical members and offical designers arent detectable, i think. |
