I was listening to this annoying little sound outside my window. Finally, I tear myself away from the computer screen to look outside and maybe see what it was. My breath caught--the sky was blue, the ground was lit by sunshine. a beautiful day. I went to the window and I realized the sound was a handsome cardinal chirping away in my neighbors bush.
That sound was suddenly the most beautiful in the world. Eager for winter to be over? OMG! I just heard another one! |

I live in the bay area. It never really gets super cold or super hot here. Really mellow.
My neighbor from across the street has this parrot, which she leaves outside sometimes. He's sort of annoying. |
