Valentine's Day is not for everybody. Of course there are loners out there. INdeed, I am one of them. =/
But Love is such a strong word. Well maybe not for these days. People are saying "I love you" to almost everybody without any meanings. It is like "how are you?", basic conversational pharse. Also almost every Valentine's product selling at this time have BIG WORDS 'I Love You.' What people need to make is having products saying 'I Like You' instead. That will certainly be awesome! Love is such a strong word to use without meaning. So I'm not using it when I'm ready, Keeping the meaning of "I love you" special. Until then... ' I like you ' will do. |

I think that "I Love You" is definitely overused these days. I have this friend who has a new boyfriend like every week. Thing is, she "loves" them all. She says "I Love You" at the end of every phone conversation. She can go from loving one guy to five minutes later, loving another guy. I had this long talk with her and another friend, both of us confronting her about this love. We said that she didn't know what the meaning of love was, and that love should be when you love them and not just their looks, love the good and bad in a person. She then replied that she loves how he gets in trouble for her. I realize that she wants to love them. She doesn't, but she wants to. Love definitely is not real these days. There are the few cases where love has been discovered, but love isn't something you find in every guy you meet. It just won't work. |
