I chose "Not really." I mean, if you think about it, there are relationships that last, where sex isn't a factor. Sexual intercourse can do two things - strengthen or weaken a relationship.
In strengthening a relationship, it has the potential to make many, if not all, insecurities go away. Both partners will learn more about each other, physically and emotionally. Of course, it's not something to rush into, as you should both be sure of yourselves and know of any consequences that might occur. In weakening a relationship, one or both partners might actually become more insecure, as one or both can potentially regret rushing into having sex. I mean, if you're really in love with someone and they're deeply in love with you, it shouldn't matter whether or not you two have sex. Having sex shouldn't be a determining factor for a relationship--there's so much more to that. Believe me, I know. :] |
