i've noticed many, many, many birthday threads in the lounge, so why not have a birthday forum?

if you think its so bad to have a personal announcement forum just because the effect of them only lasts for a week or 2, whats the point in having an introduction forum? so people can just go in and post "hi. welcome to cB and have fun!" 50 million times over?
it seems introductions have the same effect of what personal announcements would, so whats the big deal? |

Exactly.  Also, the replies don't have to count toward your total post count. Thus, the "spam" or "nonspam" won't count as real posts, like in forum games.. |
