Birthday Forum Options

i've noticed many, many, many birthday threads in the lounge, so why not have a birthday forum?

Why has this been re-opened ...having a birthday forum is pointless and...most members end up leaving after 3-4 months anyway..the topics die off within....4 days tops...for any type of celebration topics...no need in wasting..a whole thread dedicated to stuff that eventually dies off no matter the circumstance...please i restablish my say to close this topic...i just don't see the need for it...

As for the Personal Announments..i was unaware of...these things will eventually die off as well. yeah it may be nice to tell the whole community but after seeing it once...they won't want to see it agian...unless conversation is invovled..and that's what pm's are for....most likely...it will become inactive...just like any ordinary birthday thread...these arn't things that deserve to have there own thread.

this has nothing to do with you...i just don't find this nessesary...Please keep the derrogatory comments to yourself. and just because i don't like you does not mean i won't treat you you with respect. and im a little upset that you would come to those childish conclusions. i respect your opinion...i just don't see why it is nessesary.

Those announcements you have linked engage in conversation...that should be done in personal messages...and there's mostly pointless spam...for responses

if you think its so bad to have a personal announcement forum just because the effect of them only lasts for a week or 2, whats the point in having an introduction forum? so people can just go in and post "hi. welcome to cB and have fun!" 50 million times over?

it seems introductions have the same effect of what personal announcements would, so whats the big deal?

introductions are used to break the ice for new comers...that is the only reason i thought we had them...to make a first impression on cb. besides that...i don't really see a point for introductions..

As for Personal Announcements there will be alot more dead forum topics in there..then in introductions...because "EVERYONE HAS A PERSONAL ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE"... intro's are only allowed once... most topics in personal announcements...would end up in conversation and that's what pm's are for....

If you actually read the replies, it says as a correction that I put "personal announcements." Plus, as Sammi stated, some announcements such as if you're going on vacation and you're really happy and want to make a topic out of it, putting it in the lounge automatically makes it "spam." However, in the Personal Announcements forum, posting a topic about accomplishments/little joys in life would NOT be spam, and replies in there could be, or not be, counted as posts, such as in the forum games section.

And the only reason you're saying that this is a pointless topic may be some, or all, of the following choices:
a. You're hopping on the bandwagon to say that this idea is "unnecessary"
b. You like to "bash" on me.
c. You def. don't like me.
d. In my other topics, such as the one with that "scary GIF," you said "close this spam, or move it to the trash."
I'm guessing if someone else proposed this idea for a new forum, you would've agreed with it.
