in my opinion, those (just like forum member Rico) dont need to exist.. there are not enough posts in food and cars to flood the lounge. current events was doing fine in the lounge. humor should become a thread in games, or even a sub-forum called "spam", which would operate similar to forum games. health could just be deleted or make the posts go into boys or girls locker

But searching for topics can be a pain, especially if it's all in one forum.

eh i never thought searching for topics would be really difficult

i just set it to show topics with keyword and then date: anytime and i find what i wanted to find..

It all depends on the topic being searched, but I can see your point.

What if our individual profiles were used as a networking tool similar to Facebook's?

I find that to be a really interesting concept. It might make the sense of community a bit stronger, if nothing else.
