So I get to school today, and a lot of people are leaving to go to somebody's house and a bunch of people have really disturbed looks on their faces. Later, I hear what happened.
Yesterday, a girl at my school got out early for work release, went home, and finds her mother in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds all over her chest and head, and also finds her father lifeless in the basement. Apparently, the couple was going through a divorce at the time, and it looks like they got into an arguement and the father shot and killed his wife, and then committer suicide. Can you even imagine coming home to this? And the girl was an only child. It's things like this that just make you sick at your stomach with the thought that you could have come home to the same thing. Oops, I meant to post this in The Lounge. |

Wow. I cannot even imagine what that could feel like. I don't think I could handle something like that.
Well, the kid at your school is going to need all the support that they can get, they're probably not going to want to talk about it for a while though, so you're better off with a card and a small personal note in it, since they're probably going to be getting a lot of cards, try to personalize it a bit. |
