so i've never actually tried to play any sports during my entire childhood until i recently decided to attend this volleyball clinic [i'm 15] and i have just about no experience whatsoever. i've just fooled around with a volleyball every now and then. anyways, they tried to teach the ones who had no experience whatsoever how to bump, set, and spike but i couldn't do much of them that well on the first day. they told me what to do but i just can't put them all together in my mind to actually DO it. i think i was the worse one there.
do you think that it's possible for someone that's not athletic to actually become good at least one sport with plenty of practice? edit ohh and any tips would be nice, too. thanks guys! ![]() |

I think you are being too hard on yourself for your first day!
Any sport is hard the first day, you really have to practice. And even if you never played a sport in your life, I still think you can make it! I didn't play soccer my entire life until my 8th grade year. And after a lot of practice I made Varsity in 9th. So please just keep practicing and don't get down on yourself. I've never been good at volleyball, so i can't really give you tips. But just don't be afraid, just keep practicing, and I promise you'll get better! |
