skinny tables Options

how do you make your tables a lot skinnier than they already are??
and anyone got anygood layouts with the tables like that??

I USED THE CODE TO MAKE TABLES THINNER AND IT WORKED...BUT I CANT MAKE THE TABLES ANY CLOSER TOGETHER THAN THEY ALREADY ARE...I TOOK EVERYTHING OFF THAT WAS TOO BIG FOR THE TABLES AND I CENTERED EVERYTHING BUT ITS STILL THE SAME...ON THE CODE THE SECOND NUMBER IS SUPPOSED TO BE HOW CLOSE I WANT THE TABLES AND I DONT KNOW WHICH % I SHOULD PUT..CAN SOMEONE PELASE HELP??
