On Yahoo! today they were advertising Pinks new video for her song "stupid girls" and I wanted to see who had seen and it what y'all thought about it. ANYWAY~~ I think its hilarious. but it says some things too. Its making un of all your Lindsay Lohans, Jessica Simpsons and Paris Hiltons. and It really says a lot about being a female in this society, while still poking fun of what we see in the media. I think its great. Discuss. And someone tell me if I can link to it, because I will if I'm allowed to. |

I only saw part of this video and heard part of the song, but the part I saw sorta pissed me off. The way she was making fun of girls who starve themselves or make them throw up was disgusting. Girls who are anorexic or belemic aren't stupid, they have a psychological disorder, most likely caused by society. So if anyone is "stupid", it's society for shoving the idea that "skinny = beautiful" down these young girls' throats.
I dislike Pink. She annoys me. It seems like she's like "HEY look at me! I'm a noncomformist and I'm going to BITCH ABOUT THINGS because maybe then people will think I'm cool!" Yeah. Pink ... can go screw herself. |
