On Yahoo! today they were advertising Pinks new video for her song "stupid girls" and I wanted to see who had seen and it what y'all thought about it.

ANYWAY~~

I think its hilarious. but it says some things too. Its making un of all your Lindsay Lohans, Jessica Simpsons and Paris Hiltons. and It really says a lot about being a female in this society, while still poking fun of what we see in the media. I think its great. Discuss.

pink's hair isn't pink. wtf.

It hasn't been pink for ages. She just kept the name cause it would've been stupid to change her name to each colour of hair.

But in acctuality thats not even why she was called pink. Pink is always tied in with "girly girls" so it was her brother(i think) who started called her that as a nickname cause she's so not a girly girl.

Anyways,

I just made a post about this video on another forum site. Its really great! Funny yet it has a message. Her parodies of Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton were great! The song itself though isn't all that good. Its okay but not as unique as her other stuff.

i don't like pink anymore. when the video premiered on trl and the host, damien, asked her who was specifically being mocked in the video pink kept saying she was attacking the "idea" of stupid girls and not actual celebrites.

what a load of sh*t. she mocked specific events. she could at least own up to it but she didn't. she said all this crap about women empowerment and how stupid girls don't have anything to say. it's kind of like umm pink, how is this empowering women when you're making fun of your peers like that?

if pink has something meaningful to say, then she should really say it instead of using other celebritys' mishaps to get press and publicity. if she said "yeah i used lindsay lohan as an example and i believe she's a stupid girl because of etc etc" then maybe i wouldn't be so annoyed but i am because we all know she mocked them but for some reason she is denying it.

Well firstly, most people who watch TRL daily or other music channels are most likely going to know(or know somebody who does know) which girls she poking fun at. To state their names out loud would start bitchy drama and she doesn't want that. She's just using these massive public figures to get accross her message with proof. People respond more to facts than fantasy. But she did this all in a light-hearted way. Its almost like watching something on MadTV.
