everytime i upload a picture it shows up grainy. even if i resize it. is there anyway i can fix that?

i'm just uploading it to myspace. for my profile picture....yeah. but um, yeah. here you can see how grainy it is. i'm kind of wondering if it might be my digital camera though. either way, thanks for your help.
