i was going to title thing kobe bryant just raped toronto but i guess it was consensual.. horrible defense LOL.. did toronto honestly think guarding kobe with MO PETE would contain him... i mean jalen rose 5 is already bad.. but MO PETE?? but great game.. kobe may be a rapist snitch but also the greatest offensive talent in the league right now.. i hate kobe, but i have to give him props |

QUOTE(kryogenix @ Jan 23 2006, 4:27 PM) please kobe was shooting 61 percent that day.. most nba players dont shoot above 50 percent shooting 10 shots a game, let alone 45.. it would be completely stupid if kobe would have passed up shots and got his teammates (who have been doing nothing all game) more involved. do not forget that the lakres were down by double digits at the half, and kobe bryant single handedly carried the laker team on his back. if you were suggesting that kobe should have had shared the ball more, then please consider watching another sport |

Any good player could do the same if he was the only one that shot. Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points, but the rest of his team scored 69. Kobe scored 81 with the rest of his team scoring 41. Wilt's team had people that were producing, whereas Kobe was the only guy who could get the ball anywhere near the basket. I think Wilt Chamberlain's record is much more spectacular, not only because he had more points, but because the circumstances were much different. No three point line for Wilt. He actually made most of his free throw shots, even though he was intentionally fouled because he was known as a terrible shooter. |

True, but you also have to take into consideration that the speed and the pace of the game has changed. You have more athletic players then you did back then, plus there weren't to many players his size at the time which makes things a lot easier. Do you actually think that Will could score 100 into today's league? I doubt he would even see 60. |
