In the digital imaging world, the shift was caused because of the convinience of hte personal computer and making it easier for people to take, send, and print pictures. Making cameras digital would allow for personal image editing, photosharing over web based e-mail, and it boosted the sales of cameras. Making the switch, raised the price of cameras, but made it easier for consumers to enjoy their pictures without the hassle of getting them developed. Companies such as Kodak entered the digital business after having a long history of being a great analog film company. With the release of their digital cameras, consumers now have the ability to enhance their photos, color enhancement, blur filters, and the ability to change the size and quality of the photos. Making the switch from film to digital increased the sales of cameras and made it easier for the world to enjoy photography and image sharing.
