Post people who are very much worth remembering, but are pretty much unknown. People who are worthy of credit, but are pretty much ignored.
Nikola Tesla ![]() This guy is one of my personal heroes. He has contributed so much to electrical engineering. Unfortunately, Thomas Edison tried his best to discredit Tesla, and now no one really cares about him. Read about him here Chiune Sugihara ![]() He saved thousands of Jews during the holocaust. However, he's not remembered as often as Oskar Schindler. Read about him here |

Stetson Kennedy. He was instrumental in putting the brakes on the Ku Klux Klan's post-World War II recruitment drive. If you've never read about this guy, you should—his story is great. He infiltrated the KKK and then passed information to the writers of the Superman radio show, who revealed all the secrets of the KKK on the air, which led to a dramatic drop in KKK recruitment.
(And yes, he's also directly related to the guy who created the Stetson hat.) |
