Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are sharing joint credit on their next big production: baby.

While they have never confirmed that they are, in fact, dating, the easy-on-the-eyes twosome is expecting their first child together, People magazine reports. Which, to us, pretty much means they're more than "just friends."

The baby, who will be the first biological offspring for both Jolie and Pitt, is expected to make its much anticipated entrance into the world this summer.

Jolie reportedly first announced news of her pregnancy Monday to an aid worker in the Dominican Republic, where she is on location shooting The Good Shepard. Representatives for both stars later confirmed the report to People.

Rumors of Jolie's pregnancy have been in circulation for a while. As recently as last week, the actress' rep was furiously issuing denials in response to a Life & Style cover story touting the pending stork visit.

Jolie is already the mother of 4-year-old Maddox, whom she adopted from Cambodia, and 1-year-old Zahara, whom she adopted from Ethiopia, while Pitt is in the process of becoming their daddy.

At the beginning of December, Pitt's publicist issued a statement confirming that the Mr. and Mrs. Smith costars were taking steps to legally append Maddox and Zahara's names with Pitt's surname, transforming the tykes into little Jolie-Pitts and Pitt into their adoptive father.

Pitt made no secret of his desire to be a dad during his four-year marriage to    Jennifer Aniston, famously telling Diane Sawyer in a December 2004 interview, "God, I'm going to say it: Kids. Family. I'm thinking family. Yeah. I got family on the mind."

One month later, in the split heard 'round the world, the couple announced their separation and Aniston subsequently filed for divorce. The split was finalized in October.

Both Pitt and Jolie have publicly denied that any impropriety took place while Pitt was still a married man. The couple was first photographed together, along with Maddox, on the sandy shores of an African beach last April.

While Aniston has said she believes Pitt's claim that he did not cheat on her with Jolie, there's little doubt that the news of her ex-husband's impending fatherhood comes as a blow to the former Friends star.

In the cover story for the September issue of Vanity Fair, Aniston reportedly became tearful when asked about the prospect of Pitt and Jolie having a child together and declined to answer questions on the topic.

"My worst fear is that Jen will have to face them having a baby together soon, because that would be beyond beyond painful," her close friend, Kristin Hahn, told the magazine.

Aniston's pain and suffering aside, Jolie's decision to reproduce naturally with Pitt is something of a departure for the actress, who once told E! News, "I've never wanted to be pregnant, I've always wanted to adopt."

Soon after she adopted Zahara, Jolie publicly stated she would like to go through the process again soon. "Most of the night I just thought about how quickly I want to adopt again. It's a very special thing. There's something about making a choice, waking up and traveling somewhere and finding your family," the actress told People in October.

This time around, it looks like she and Pitt have pinpointed the location of the next member of their family unit--no travel required.

I wouldn't mind so much if it was Brad and Angelina from the start. But Angelina's a home wrecker and I've lost respect for her, and with Brad. Well, I have no opinion about Brad. But if those two are happy enough together to have kids, then by all means, congratulations.

Since when did this become an issue of who's hotter? There's more behind a relationship than that, and to form opinions based on who other people think are "hot" is ridiculous.
