spacing? Options

i've seen um, images with letter spacing. like -2px arial? is that possible to do in photoshop without .. uh.. creating a new text thingy each time and moving them towards each other? >< i tried playing around and i cant find anything.

in photoshop, when you click on the text tool, go into the text toolbar (where all the options appear) and click on the "toggle ther character and paragraph palettes" (it looks like a little paper with a list on it, all the way at the right). there should be this:

that's what you want to change. use negatives, of course.
