QUOTE(stephinika @ Feb 28 2005, 10:55 AM) tell them there are better ways to deal with stress than to smoke...and besides, its cancer in a stick. Oh yes. That's always effective. Unless they're not afraid of cancer. ![]() ![]() QUOTE(Despise @ Feb 28 2005, 11:28 AM) Of course they have the chance of becoming daily smokers. Telling their parents might seem a bit of a telltale, but talking to them will help. Tell them you care about them and don't want them to turn out like one of those scary smokers with yellow teeth and horrid breath. Get yourself to cry, if it helps. It's a terrible addiction, and many teens that try it even once can become addicted, which could easily lead to becoming a daily smoker. I don't have much advice. Have you tried talking to them or their parents? If they won't listen, then talk to their parents about it. ![]() |

This is a very serious situation. This could get out of hand, so I don't see how telling their parents would be a "telltale" approach. |

Give them your input, if they don't listen, then hey, you tried. Remember, it's their choice. If you tell their parents you could very well lose that friend. |
