^ Agreed. My tastes haven't necessarily changed, they've grown to encompass a lot of other types of music as well as what I already liked.
I grew up on funk, soul and reggae music. My dad raised my brother and me with Earth Wind & Fire, Bob Marley and the Wailers, and Parliament. I knew all the words to "Tear the Roof off the Sucker" before I had fully mastered my ABC's. It wasn't until junior high that I fell in love with rock music, but I never stopped listening to the stuff I grew up on. |
