Funny how the art style is so similar. It's believed that Sony is paying artists to spray walls with images. This guy was caught in the act:  It seems like he's copying the image from a paper that Sony might have sent him. Here is the community response to some of these images:

If you want something to sell, you have to step to more creative ideas. Hence, the urban graffiti and their new commercials.

Yeah, but these are actually counterproductive. Getting sued and being resented by graffiti artists is not the way to go. People who don't know about the PSP will be like WTF when a squirrel says "IT'S LIKE A NUT!" or when the dust balls say "IT'S LIKE A CARPET!" Nice job on the stereotypes too! Also, have you seen the commercial where the people pass around the PSP? How does that make you want to play the PSP? The guy chucks it off a mountain, basketball player catches it, plays it for five seconds, then chucks it. It's as if it couldn't entertain them for more than a few seconds. The 360 commercials are more creative anyway. The waterballoon one and the shooting one that was banned were pretty good. |
