Ok, well... my parents are toatlly retarted... they tell me that I'm not allowd to date or have a boyfriend until I'm 16, and they are super over-protective with me... but there's this guy, and we only met about 4 months ago, but we are already best friends and so close, much closer than I've been with anyone in my whole life. And we talked about relationships. He told me that he likes me, I told him that I like him back, but he told me that he doesn't want to go out with me or anyone yet, that he doesn't want a girlfriend. He says that once you go out, when you break up you won't be as good of friends. Which is really true. It makes me happy, because I know that it gives me more time.. he doesn't know that I can;t have a boyfriend till I'm 16. But I'm afraid that by the time I'm 16 (about a year and a half from now) that he'll already have a girlfriend and I won't be able to have him, or it'll be too late and he won't like me anymore, he'll like someone else... and if I disobey my parents, they'll know, I can't keep that a secret, so what should I do?

oh no. ur going to not have a chance with some guy. boohoo. it's the end of the world. quick, build the bomb shelters and hide.
no dammit. there are plenty more guys in the world. when two people break up, they don't automatically become not as close anymore. it depends on the two people in the relationship. if they're both mature enough to handle the fact that they've broken up, then they should be fine. yeah, they'll be some tension, but hey, just play it off. depends on the people really. don't whine about how ur parents won't let you date until ur 16. they have good reasons for saying so. u really want him? date him. be more discreet about ur relationship. don't flaunt it and be like, "I LOVE HIM!!!!" all over xangas and myspaces and aim and what not. parents know more than they show. specially asian parents (nosy people). just be real hush hush about it around ur parents. don't know how? learn. |
