Which file type should i use ... to save regular image, not giffy image.

If you're using photoshop, JPG is the best for small file sizes. But you have to be careful when optimizing, because JPG loses a lot of quality the farther down in file size you go.
File > Save For Web is what I usually use. If it has a lot of colors, I use JPG and if it only has a couple I use PNG. |
