Don't know if it's a similar system to Xanga, but anyone help me out with making Livejournal styles, based on a current one, or even a new style? I'm mostly concerned with the override codes but would also appreciate help on how to modify Livejournal styles to my own preferences.

This may seem like a stupid question, but do you have a website listed in your profile?
![]() Uhm.. hmm. I'm trying to think of what else could be the problem, but perhaps 50 pixels isn't wide enough for words to fit. Try making it 150 px and see if that helps. You can do most of the stuff she has by using overrides (to my knowledge). She's got a header image, a sidebar, and a background image that repeats down the page. But you have more freedom with a paid account, so I'd try to edit your own style. And since I don't have a paid account, I don't really trust my limited knowledge to advise you, so here are a couple of links that explain it way better than I ever could: http://www.livejournal.com/users/shatteredtest/1332.html http://www.livejournal.com/users/cp63testlj/2020.html So that will take you in a completely different direction, but I think you'll find that you get more freedom this way. |
