so i just saw this movie tonight and it was absolutely amazing.
its about a guy named steve who pretends to be mentally challenged to compete in the special olympics. (jimmy, some other guy had won it multiple years) he was suppose to fire one of his employees who got 3 of his fingers chopped off while mowing steves lawn. since the lawn mower guy wasnt a citizen, steve had to pay for his surgery which was $28,000. steve however, didnt have the money, which is where his uncle gets the idea to bet on someone else winning the gold medal in the special olympics instead of the reining guy. steve (well, now he pretends his name is jeffy) meets a volenteer at the games and falls in love, only she doesnt know hes lying. the good thing about this movie is that theyre not making fun of the mentally retarded. steve actually realizes that they're his friends. its cute. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Jackass came on TV last week, and he kept promoting it every commerial. It does look intriguing. I don't think I'll see it in theaters, but maybe one day I'll rent it.
edit- Okay, saw it in theaters with a friend. lol I don't know what to say about it lol, it was interesting. I wouldn't say anything close to being "amazing". But it was ok. I wouldn't buy it though. And Johnny Knoxville is pretty hott, lol. Something about him. He had bags under his eyes like the entire movie though. I have no idea why. The movie had it's moments though. I wasn't offended or anything, The Farrelly brothers have worked with mentally challenged people in their movies for a long time. They actually have good relationships with them, and was inspired because they used to live next to one of them when they were growing up or something.
