i'll re-showoff my first one since i've given it a major facelift since

take note of the last table in the menu with the digg news. i got it working to display my feed real time ^-^ (as for some reason the default code the site regularly gives you doesn't work on xanga)

it's supposed to be real simple, as i use it as my personal blog. i whipped it together real quick but i thought it worked out pretty nice.

You know what guys - you are being WAY too harsh - now, I like them. Now, they are too simplistic for submition, but sometimes simplicity is nice. Now for the critique...

I love your idea on the first one (and Tifa's way cool) - however there seems to be a lot of empty space. Perhaps but a repeating background behind the blog/nav to pull the design together and separate it at the same time. OOOooooooo~ I just refreshed it - SONIC IS FREAKING AWESOME!... brings back childhood memories. New banner on refresh... I like it.

The second one - I love the banner, and the color scheme is great (I noticed the slightly darker color on the top - I love it!) Perhaps you need to blend a little of the 1st blog into the second - try creating a subtle pattern in the background and putting something behind the blog date headers - I think they shouldn't stand alone like that.

Great job - I love your taste - simple is definitely good. You took it too a new level. Default is simple, boring, and unoriginal. Yours is simple, but creative, and interesting!
