QUOTE(rockstermonkey @ Dec 28 2005, 12:12 PM) ^ Hah, and to think I was one of those people who actually went out and GOT the album ![]() I think that "Twin Cinema" is the best, just looking over the variety of songs they had on that album. It kind of blew me away with the first listen. It's power pop at its finest. I would have, had my uncle not sent it to me for my birthday. I bought the bonus track off itunes, it that's any consolation. It's truly an amazing album. It touched me more than any album had since "Give Up" or "Transatlanticism" (they may seem cliche now, but they were recognized for a reason). By the third track, I was practically in tears, which sounds lame and overly sentimental, ubt seriously. QUOTE(william @ Dec 28 2005, 3:02 PM) her space holiday's "the past presents the future" or stars' "set yourself on fire". i can't choose! I say Stars > Her Space Holiday QUOTE(Zatanna @ Dec 28 2005, 3:09 PM) Female - Fiona Apple "Extraordinary Machine" It's an amazing piece of work. The cd isn't something you'd necessarily put on repeat, but the composition of the music combined with her lyrics truly makes for an extraordinary album. Male - I'll go for a band - NIN. Trent Reznor is in top form. eh, "Tidal" and "When the Pawn..." owned it |
