Busing and ReSegregation, intergration Options

It seems as though places like school are becoming segregated again. I go to an all black school, with the exception of 3 or 4 asians and 3 or 4 hispanics. I used to do the M to M program. It was a program called Minority to Majority. Then they shut it off because of one man complaining about busing. It turns out he was a racist and didn't want blacks going to school with his daughter.(Which now blacks are moving into their community so...) Now they made me go back to my home school Towers. I don't live in the inner city and my neighborhood is black. Busing forced intergration. I loved going to Peachtree because of the fact that it was so many different races there. Now it is only one race. No diveristy at all. That is not how it is going to be in the real world. You will incounter people from all different backgrounds. So the question is Should we restart Busing

You do realize that in Brown v. Board of Education, the reason given to desegregate teh schools was to AVOID busing, right?

The black girl who sued, sued because she had to ride a bus all the way across town to a black school whereas there was a white school right nearby.

Actually(i'm going to have fun with this) That has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm saying. I'm saying we need diveristy. It is not black and white in the real world. You don't know what I'm saying because you are not experiencing what I am. By people going to majority one color school it forces racist views. I swear to you I'm not lying or kidding when I say at school they teach you to hate white people. Why? Because these people have never been around white people. They take what they see on Tv and make a conclusion from it. A conclusion that is biased and not even half of the story.

You are right she sued because it was a white school right by. I'm saying that we need to buss because people are not going to move to a neighborhood where they are the only one of their skin color. So the only way to get diveristy is to buss. To have programs like M to M where it takes minorities and brings them to majority of one color school and it begans to change the school into a mixed environment.

Yeah, I read an article about segregated proms...it's sad to know discrimination still exists today.  It's quite hard to change someone's mind on something like that, though.

Yeah that is in down south Georgia though. I live in Dekalb County which is in metro Altlanta. It is sad that people are so closed-minded and ignorant. That same county now added a new prom. An all hispanic prom. Now they have a Black prom-whichi is open to everyone, a white prom-closed to everyone not white, and a hispanic prom. It is so stupid
