I had a discussion with my dad about networking, and it sparked something in my head. I have a few questions for anyone who reads this, if you don't mind.
1) What is your ambition in life? 2) What are you actually good at doing at this point in your life? 3) Do those things work well together on a personal level (or do those things work without other people being involved)? 4) How do you feel about someone else using you for your talents? 5) How do you feel about using someone else for their talents? 6) What kind of incentive would you need to use your talents for someone else's goals? 7) What kind of incentive do you think other people would need for them to use their talents for one of your goals? 8) After answering those questions, do you feel like you can accomplish your life's ambition alone? |

1) What is your ambition in life?
- to become an engineer and give my parents a good, carefree life 2) What are you actually good at doing at this point in your life? - seriously? I'm really good at being lazy and pissing off my parents. But I'm doing okay in my studies and I make a lot of people laugh. 3) Do those things work well together on a personal level (or do those things work without other people being involved)? - it depends. but most of the time, they work well together on a personal level. 4) How do you feel about someone else using you for your talents? - as long as it's used for good, I'm not complaining. 5) How do you feel about using someone else for their talents? - if I use it for my personal gain, I'd be really guilty. 6) What kind of incentive would you need to use your talents for someone else's goals? - hmm... sincerity and dedication. I don't like wasting my effort if I know that person is not sincere on what he/she is doing. I'm too lazy. 7) What kind of incentive do you think other people would need for them to use their talents for one of your goals? - ... patience and loyalty, and the traits I mentioned above. 8) After answering those questions, do you feel like you can accomplish your life's ambition alone? - I can't do it alone, but that doesn't mean I'll always rely on others. |
